Bij de vernieuwing van de Gerrit Krolbrug in Groningen gebeurt dat op een doordachte en toekomstbestendige manier.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In een recent interview met Rijkswaterstaat vertelt onze collega Chris Janssen hoe het landschappelijke ontwerp voor de omgeving van de brug tot stand is gekomen. Samen met Jan Rolf ten Hove van de gemeente Groningen belicht hij de inhoudelijke keuzes die zijn gemaakt om stad, landschap en ecologie optimaal op elkaar aan te laten sluiten.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In het plan krijgt de historische rivier de Hunze weer een zichtbare plek in het landschap, terwijl de biodiversiteit een flinke impuls krijgt door de aanplant van 186 nieuwe, voornamelijk inheemse bomen. Ook is er nadrukkelijk rekening gehouden met fauna, vari\u00ebrend van specifieke vliegroutes voor vleermuizen tot faunapassages en veilige nestplekken voor vogels.
