De onderzoeksvraag is: \u201cWat kun je meer doen met een dijk dan hem steeds opnieuw verbreden en ophogen?\u201d<br \/>\nOp initiatief van de BNA hebben 6 verschillende ontwerpteams drie locaties onderzocht. BoschSlabbers heeft samen met De Jonge Gortemaker Algra en Steenhuis Meurs adaptieve dijkoplossingen onderzocht voor de IJsseldijk tussen Zwolle en Deventer.<br \/>\nIs het mogelijk om het verhaal achter de dijk te vertellen? De po\u00ebzie van de plek de ruimte te geven? Voor ons is dit ontwerpend onderzoek naar de adaptieve dijk het uitgangspunt om de beleving en historie van de IJsseldijk tussen Deventer en Zwolle te herwaarderen. Door de noodzakelijke dijkversterking te verwerken in een \u2018scenic route\u2019, wordt de ervaring van de zogeheten Sallandse bandijk en het omliggende landschap verbeterd. Een analyse van de dijk heeft de cultuurhistorische en landschappelijke waarden inzichtelijk gemaakt.
