Wat lange tijd niet meer dan een drukke verkeersroute was, ontwikkelt zich stap voor stap tot een herkenbare en samenhangende stadsentree waarin infrastructuur, landschap en verblijfskwaliteit samenvallen.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ons ontwerp vertrekt vanuit de omgeving. De Europaweg wordt onderdeel van een groter systeem dat de overgang markeert van open polder naar stad. Lange lijnen, robuuste groenstructuren en een heldere opbouw zorgen voor rust en leesbaarheid, ook in een complexe verkeerskundige context.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De ingreep gaat verder dan verkeer alleen. Bestaande bruggen worden vervangen en aangevuld met verbeterde verbindingen over het water (waaronder de Lammebrug en de Trekvlietbrug). Tegelijk wordt het netwerk van fiets- en wandelroutes uitgebreid, en wordt het Lammenschansplein heringericht als onderdeel van de stadsentree.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Het ontwerp wordt gerealiseerd met aandacht voor ecologie, klimaatadaptatie en verblijfskwaliteit. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zo worden in de bruggen meer dan 300.000 hergebruikte bakstenen toegepast, geoogst uit gesloopte gebouwen. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Daarnaast zetten we voluit in op het behoud en versterken van de bestaande bomenstructuur: volwassen bomen worden waar mogelijk ingepast in het nieuwe profiel. Zo ontstaat continu\u00efteit in het landschap en blijft het karakter van de plek ook na de transformatie herkenbaar.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nu de uitvoering gestart is, wordt zichtbaar hoe ontwerpkeuzes hun plek krijgen in de praktijk. We blijven betrokken om de ruimtelijke kwaliteit tijdens de realisatie te borgen.
