kolk<\/h2>\n<p>De directe omgeving van het oude Vreeswijk (het huidige Nieuwegein) is al eeuwen een belangrijk waterknooppunt. Defensie en logistiek hebben er voor gezorgd dat in de loop der tijd forten, linies en sluizen zijn ontwikkeld. E\u00e9n van de laatste waterwerken die is aangelegd is de Prinses Beatrixsluis, inmiddels ruim vijfenzeventig jaar geleden. De Beatrixsluis vormt een essenti\u00eble schakel op de drukbevaren rechtstreekse hoofdvaarwegverbinding tussen Rotterdam \u2013 Amsterdam.<br \/>\nDe monumentale sluis dreigt een knelpunt te worden door toenemend aanbod en grotere schepen. Daarom wordt het monumentale complex uitgebreid met een derde kolk waarbij respect voor het landschap, monument en historie vereist Eenvoud in de keuze voor een robuuste, degelijke roldeur met overzichtelijke, logisch aansluitende fuiken. Pragmatisch doordat vormgeving, maat\/schaal en materiaalgebruik een logisch gevolg zijn van het functioneren. Dit is doorvertaald naar een viertal ontwerpuitgangspunten:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Klare, heldere lijnen met \u00e9\u00e9n kneep: logisch doorlopende en vloeiende lijnen van het Lekkanaal komen samen bij \u00e9\u00e9n sluiscomplex van drie kolken waar het sluiseiland zo smal mogelijk wordt gemaakt;<\/li>\n<li>Pragmatisch civiel sluiscomplex; \u00e9\u00e9n (sluis) complex van 3 kolken met \u00e9\u00e9n doorlopend maaiveld van +7,80; een spel van symmetrie van gelijke sluiskoppen; \u00e9\u00e9n afgesloten, makkelijk te beheren sluiseiland;<\/li>\n<li>Ruimte voor beleving; de drie sferen: Rivier de Lek \u2013 Sluiscomplex \u2013 Kanaalwereld worden versterkt en verbonden door de NHW. uitwerking","content":"<h2>De Lek en Kanaal verbonden<\/h2>\n<p>Het sluiscomplex vormt de nautische \u2018overstap\u2019 tussen Lek en (Amsterdam-Rijn)kanaal, tussen verschillende landschappen en routes. Daar komt de wereld van onzekerheid, peilverschillen, dijken en wateropgaves samen met die van de veilige, lange, beplante lijnen van vervoer. Tevens is het de plek waar wandel-, fiets-, auto- en ecologische routes de vaarroute kruisen. Dit spel van overgang en confrontatie levert drie sferen op:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Het dijkenlandschap van de Lek: een eenduidig doorlopend dijkprofiel met steunberm voorzien van stortsteen aan het kanaal, een tapijt van bloemrijk grasland en asfaltwegen aansluitend bij de huidige Lekdijk.<\/li>\n<li>Het kanalenlandschap richting het Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal: een rechte vloeiende lijn beplant met een dubbele rij populieren en prettige fietsverbinding.<\/li>\n<li>Het sluiscomplex als knoop en eigen identiteit: dit is de plek van overgang, routes en verbinden. \u2018De oude dame\u2019 trots en detail","content":"<h2>Beleving van de Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie<\/h2>\n<p>Voor een maximale beleving van de NHW is een aantal uitgangspunten gehanteerd. Allereerst wordt de waterzone tussen sluiscomplex en bedrijventerrein \u2019t Klooster door slim ontwerp meer dan verdubbeld.<\/p>\n<p>In navolging van het Landschapsplan worden de betonnen NHW-objecten herplaatst als \u2018objets trouv\u00e9\u2019. De \u2018objet trouv\u00e9\u2019 zijn de authentieke bewijzen van de verdwenen stelling. Plaatsing in het landschap maakt dat de beschouwer zich gaat afvragen waarom deze objecten daar liggen en wat de betekenis er van is. Om deze beschouwer te helpen en de recreatieve waarde van het gebied te verhogen krijgt de bezoeker een toelichting door middel van \u2018augmented reality\u2019, kortweg AR.<\/p>\n<p>Door een smartphone of tablet op een fysiek aangebrachte marker te richten wordt informatie via de viewer aangeboden in 2D of 3D. In 2D krijgt men een digitaal informatiepaneel. Bij 3D ontstaat de mogelijk een object ter plekke 3D op te roepen en te bekijken. Het object wordt geografisch vastgepind ten opzichte van de marker. De beschouwer kan er dan omheen lopen en het object van alle kanten bekijken. Het is zelfs mogelijk objecten digitaal op hun originele plaats ten opzichte van de marker te plaatsen. De beschouwer kan de schuilplaatsen en kazematten op hun originele plaats bekijken, terwijl de nieuwe realiteit van de scheepvaart er ongehinderd doorheen kan varen. Het verleden waart als een geest door de nieuwe werkelijkheid. Hiermee krijgt de historische waarde een extra impuls en wordt de samenhang van de NHW duidelijk.<\/p>\n<p>BEA3X heeft markers ontworpen. Deze markers hebben een diameter van 2 m en liggen opgenomen in de verharding van de doorgaande noord-zuid verbinding aan de oostzijde van het kanaal.
