Brouwersdam, onderdeel van de Deltawerken. Een stoer element dat vooral bedoeld is voor onze waterveiligheid. Sinds de dam gedicht is in 1971 werd het vooral ook een plek voor pioniers; hier konden dingen die elders onmogelijk waren. Dit vrijheidsgevoel, is nog steeds aanwezig op de dam.<\/p>\n<p>Een breed aanbod aan sporten en vermaak, zoals strandzeilen of kitesurfen vindt er plaats. De Brouwersdam heeft de titel \u201chotspot voor active leisure\u201d gekregen.<\/p>\n<p>Maar het succes heeft ook een keerzijde. De vrijheid heeft geleid tot een verrommeld beeld op de dam door de komst van borden, aggregaten, containers en meer. En dit ongekend recht stuk asfalt met een grote breedte, nodigt uit om het gaspedaal eens flink in te drukken. Ter hoogte van de opgangen, waar mensen net hun auto uitgestapt zijn en zich verplaatsen naar het strand, wil dit nog wel eens voor gevaarlijke situaties zorgen. Om de dam een positieve impuls te geven is verbetering van de openbare ruimte een belangrijk punt. Aan BoschSlabbers is gevraagd een visie te ontwikkelen voor de inrichting van de strandopgangen op de Brouwersdam.<\/p>\n","image":{"ID":5085,"id":5085,"title":"BoschSlabbers Landschapsarchitecten aanpak","content":"<h2>Man made en stormvast<\/h2>\n<p>Het unieke van de Brouwersdam is zijn tweezijdigheid. Er is een duidelijk verschil tussen de zeekant en de meerzijde. Waar de meerkant vooral gekenmerkt wordt door groene oevers, rustig water en enkele bossen, en veel verblijfsrecreatie, is de zeekant de kant waar de elementen vrij spel hebben. Hier waait het ongeremd en rollen de golven het zand of de dam op. Het beeld hier wordt bepaald door eindeloos zand met daarnaast heel veel meters asfalt.<\/p>\n<p>De inrichting moet bloot kunnen staan aan de zwaarst denkbare omstandigheden. Zoals het geweld van shovels om het stuifzand te verwijderen. In \u00e9\u00e9n weekend kunnen er duinen ontstaan van meer dan 2 meter hoog! Daarnaast is helaas de ervaring dat er door bepaalde groepen vakantiegangers veel gesloopt wordt. De toe te passen materialen en inrichtingselementen moeten daarom sloopbestendig zijn en storm- en zandvast!<\/p>\n<p>Asfalt, hout en steen; stuk voor stuk materialen die het geweld van de zee aankunnen. De Brouwersdam is een \u201cman made\u201d landschap. De maakbaarheid mag van de Brouwersdam afdruipen. Camouflage is niet op zijn plaats, ingrepen mogen zichtbaar, effici\u00ebnt en doelgericht zijn en vooral niet te lief of romantisch. Daarentegen mag de natuur zijn gang gaan. uitwerking","content":"<h2>Plein, loper en huls<\/h2>\n<p>Het ontwerp laat zich het beste beschrijving als sober en doelmatig, maar rijk in detail. De uitwerking kent een drietal onderdelen: het pleintje, de loper en de losse elementen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Het pleintje<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Op de dam kondigt de strandopgang zich aan door een verhard pleintje. Dit pleintje maakt dat er een duidelijk markante plek op de dam ontstaat waar de opgang begint. Door de verhoogde ligging wordt dit nog eens versterkt. De verhoging is tevens een goede verkeerskundige maatregel. Op dit pleintje worden diverse functionele aspecten samengebracht, zoals informatievoorziening, fietsenstalling, zitgelegenheden, afvalbakken, etc. De pleintjes worden uitgevoerd in okerkleurig afgestrooid asfalt. Deze zandkleur geeft naast het gevoeld dat hier het strand begint ook een extra remmende werking voor de automobilist; zand op de weg, pas op!<\/p>\n<p><strong>De loper<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>De strandopgang wordt gevormd door een loper van stelconplaten die op het pleintje begint. De loper krijgt een lage opstaande rand ter begeleiding richting het strand. Dit zitelement is op de kop gemaakt van beton en in het midden van houten balken. Deze balken zijn stevig genoeg om het materieel dat de opgangen zandvrij maakt te kunnen weerstaan. Mocht er onverhoopt toch een balk beschadigen, dan kan deze gemakkelijk vervangen worden. In het begeleidend element zal de verlichting worden opgenomen. Op de kop nabij het strand wordt een douche geplaatst. Zodat mensen zich na afloop van hun strandbezoek eventueel kunnen afspoelen. Aan de loper zijn diverse elementen op afstand gepositioneerd. Deze zijlopers worden vormgegeven met een tegel met een afwijkend formaat, een halve stelconplaat.<\/p>\n<p><strong>De huls<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Voor veel zaken zijn containers nog steeds nodig in de duinen. Deze elementen horen bij de dam, geven de tijdelijkheid en seizoensgebondenheid weer. Het voorstel is een aantal containerhulzen te maken die gebruikt kunnen worden voor alle containers. Ook de toiletunits kunnen hierin mee ontworpen worden.<\/p>\n<p>Naast de opgangen zijn er een parkeerplaats, diverse routes en doorgangen ontworpen om het strand beter toegankelijk te
