Jacobsstraat in Leeuwarden krijgen een nieuwe inrichting. Waar het gebied nu vooral functioneert als winkelzone en doorgangsroute, verandert het vanaf 2026 in een uitnodigende verblijfsplek. In opdracht van en samen met de gemeente Leeuwarden ontwerpt BoschSlabbers een gastvrije, groene en sfeervolle binnenstad. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Er komt meer ruimte voor voetgangers, het water van de gracht wordt beter zichtbaar en bereikbaar, en de historische gebouwen keren terug in het straatbeeld. Nieuwe zitplekken aan de waterkant, ruim 50 nieuwe bomen en het gebruik van warme materialen en sfeervolle verlichting transformeren de binnenstad tot de nieuwe, bruisende huiskamer van vraag","content":"<h2>Thuiskomen in de stad<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Startpunt van ons ontwerp was een uitgebreide vragenlijst aan bewoners. De respons was eensgezind: mensen willen een binnenstad met meer groen, fijne plekken om te zitten, contact met het water en een opgeruimd, overzichtelijk straatbeeld. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ge\u00efnspireerd door hun input en idee\u00ebn gingen we aan de tekentafel. Het voorlopig ontwerp is het resultaat van een intensief participatietraject, waarin BoschSlabbers samenwerkte met een groep van 25 bewoners en ondernemers uit het gebied. De kades worden toegankelijker met een verlaagde flaneerkade en zitplekken aan het water. Donkergrijs graniet maakt plaats voor warme klinkers, en strategisch geplaatste bomen geven De Waag en andere historische gevels meer zichtbaarheid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Aan de westzijde van De Waag komt een terras met een speelelement \u2013 een plek voor ontspanning aan het water. Markt en terrassen worden herschikt om levendigheid te stimuleren zonder het zicht op de gracht of de doorstroming te hinderen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Onder het voormalige V&amp;D-gebouw (nu Costes) komt een inpandige fietsenstalling. Daardoor verdwijnen honderden fietsenrekken en ontstaat ruimte voor groen, brede loopzones en rust in het straatbeeld. Afvalcontainers en laad- en loszones worden gebundeld onder de bomen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">De Peperstraat en Sint Jacobsstraat krijgen een drempelloze inrichting, zodat voetgangers, fietsers en mensen met kinderwagens of rollators de ruimte gelijkwaardig kunnen delen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tot slot wordt de binnenstad klimaatrobuuster: nieuwe bomen zorgen voor schaduw en verkoeling, gevelgroen en plantvakken versterken de biodiversiteit, en drijvend groen verzacht het beeld langs de
