het regionaal opstelterrein voor treinen van NS en Arriva vanuit het centrum van Groningen te verplaatsen naar het buitengebied van buurgemeente Haren, was de verontwaardiging in Haren groot. Niet voor het eerst leek de grote stad zijn problemen bij de buurman neer te leggen.<\/p>\n<p>Daarop werd afgesproken dat het opstelterrein niet tot overlast voor de bewoners mocht leiden.<\/p>\n<p>Aanvankelijk lag de focus op \u2018het beperken van de schade\u2019, op de bouw van een hoge muur of aarden wal, die dan vervolgens landschappelijk moest worden aangekleed.<\/p>\n<p>Toen tijdens de voorbereiding tot een ieders verrassing bleek dat het opstelterrein op een archeologische schatkamer zou worden ontwikkeld, met vindplaatsen van late steentijd, via bronstijd en ijzertijd tot in de late middeleeuwen, werd de focus verlegd naar \u2018het benutten van kansen\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>De aanleg van een geluidskering is gecombineerd met de ontwikkeling van archeologisch natuurpark.<\/p>\n<p>Er is meer grond verworven waardoor een groter gebied beschikbaar is voor het versterken van de recreatieve gebruiksmogelijkheden, de verbetering van de agrarische bedrijvigheid (een nieuwe veetunnel onder het spoor) en verbreding van de natuurdiversiteit (bos, water, moerasoevers, hakhout, kruidenrijke graslanden, poelen voor de rugstreeppad).<\/p>\n<p>Hier ligt een gebied waar mensen uit de omgeving kunnen wandelen en tijdens hun wandeling een verscheidenheid aan natuurbeelden beleven. Een gebied waar het voor de rugstreeppad nog altijd goed toeven is en waar ook andere soorten een goed leefgebied vinden. Maar ook een gebied waarin de gelaagdheid van het verleden herkenbaar aanwezig is, dat de mensen vertelt dat de bewoningsgeschiedenis van dit gebied veel verder terug gaat dan dat men tot voor kort 07:39:33","post_date_gmt":"2018-11-28 07:39:33","post_content":"<h2>Rangeerpark De Vork in uitvoering<\/h2>\r\nDe Vork in Haren, in de splitsing van de sporen richting Assen en Winschoten, krijgt steeds meer vorm. Het opstelterrein, de \u2018parkeerplaats voor treinen\u2019, ligt klaar om te worden voorzien van sporen. De contouren van het omliggende wandelpark zijn goed zichtbaar. Dit wordt goed zichtbaar in het <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=tDRD-dpfWzE\">dronefilmpje<\/a>\u00a0dat ProRail onlangs publiceerde. BoschSlabbers maakte het ontwerp voor het park, waar archeologie en natuur een grote rol spelen.\r\n\r\nIn maart 2018 is gestart met de aanleg van het archeologisch wandelpark. Tussen het wandelpark en het nieuwe opstelterrein ligt een aarden wal, waardoor het zicht op het opstelterrein en het achterliggende industrieterrein minder is. Er zijn watergangen, kikkerpoelen \u00e9n natuurlijk een wandelpad aangelegd. De laatste grondwerkzaamheden zijn uitgevoerd en er wordt momenteel gewerkt aan de verdere inrichting met vlonderpaden, picknicktafels, hekwerken en bijenhotels. Een park zonder groen is geen echt park, daarom worden er dit najaar bomen en struiken gepland. aanpak","content":"<h2>Kansen benutten<\/h2>\n<p>De weerstand bij de omwonenden was in eerste instantie groot, men vreesde aantasting van het woongenot en waardevermindering van de huizen. Op druk bezochte gebiedsavonden hebben we uitgelegd dat de ontwikkeling van het rangeerterrein inderdaad een bedreiging vormt voor de aanwezige gebiedskwaliteit wanneer deze ondoordacht worden uitgevoerd. Maar omgekeerd, wanneer je het slim aanpakt en onverwachte koppelingen weet te leggen, kan deze ontwikkeling ook een vehikel blijken om het gebied interessanter te maken. Dat leidde tot een voorzichtige verandering, van \u2018beperken van schade\u2019 naar \u2018benutten van kansen\u2019. Dit vertaalde zich in een bredere opgave; het rangeerterrein moest zodanig worden vormgegeven en ingepast dat bestaande kwaliteiten behouden blijven, knelpunten tot een oplossing worden gebracht en nieuwe kwaliteiten duurzaam tot ontwikkeling worden gebracht, en dat alles zodanig dat het landschap van Haren in staat is zijn verhaal te voor stap naar een ontwerp<\/h2>\n<p>Tijdens de gebiedsavonden werden bewoners en stakeholders ge\u00efnformeerd over de uitkomsten van aanvullend onderzoek naar archeologie, cultuurhistorie, flora en fauna, effecten op geluid en licht en konden zij reageren op de trapsgewijze planontwikkeling.<br \/>\nAanvankelijk hebben wij drie mogelijke modellen gepresenteerd, die alle drie voldeden aan de voorwaarden van de opdrachtgevers als aan de wensen vanuit de omgeving.<\/p>\n<p>Daaruit zijn twee voorkeuralternatieven gelijkwaardig verder uitgewerkt waarover de omgeving zich heeft mogen uitspreken. Dat leidde tot een breed gedragen voorkeursalternatief dat daarop door BoschSlabbers is uitgewerkt tot definitief ontwerp. Deze diende als basis voor de noodzakelijke bestemmingsplanwijziging.<\/p>\n<h2>Opening<\/h2>\n<p>Sinds juni 2019 is het archeologisch wandelpark geopend voor publiek. Het park is compleet met vlonderpaden, waterlopen, bomen, struiken en een kikkerpoel. Tevens staat er een replica van een historische boerderij als verwijzing naar de archeologische vondsten die in het gebied zijn gedaan en is een picknickplaats
