Lensheuvel<\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\">Lensheuvel-\u2019t Heike is een historisch buurtschap aan de oude handelsroute tussen Tilburg, Postel en Leuven. Hoewel het door de groei van Reusel geleidelijk in het dorpsweefsel werd opgenomen, behield het haar eigen karakter en ruimtelijke structuur.<\/p>\n<p>Door de toenemende druk van vracht- en landbouwverkeer kwam die eigenheid steeds verder onder druk te staan. Wegen werden verbreed en ingericht vanuit verkeerskundige logica, waardoor de openbare ruimte haar rol als ontmoetingsplek verloor. De weg groeide uit tot een koekoeksjong in het dorp: steeds dominanter, terwijl de leefbaarheid afnam. De opgave was om de verkeersfunctie opnieuw in evenwicht te brengen met de maat, schaal en identiteit van het buurtschap.<\/p>\n","image":{"ID":12853,"id":12853,"title":"BoschSlabbers BSLA Lensheuvel Bewoners werden daarom van bij de start betrokken bij het zoeken naar oplossingen voor de verkeersproblematiek in Lensheuvel.<\/p>\n<p>Vanuit een analyse van de geschiedenis en de ruimtelijke kwaliteiten van het buurtschap ontwikkelden we samen met bewoners het concept van een fietsstraat. Die ingreep verbeterde de verkeersveiligheid en bracht tegelijk de maat, schaal en identiteit van het dorp loopt \u2013 opgewaardeerd tot een toegankelijk rolstoelpad. Toen de financiering niet volledig rond raakte, werden vrijgekomen materialen uit het project hergebruikt voor de aanleg. Samen met een bijdrage van de aannemer maakte dit de realisatie mogelijk. Sinds 2016 vormt het pad een schakel in het recreatieve netwerk rond
