BoschSlabbers en ZJA architecten ontwerpen de herinrichting van de Brugse stationsomgeving, Boskalis zorgt voor de gefaseerde bouwuitvoering. Een bijzonder kenmerk van de herinrichting is de transformatie van het stationsplein tot een groen Stationspark, met als blikvanger een fontein: \u2018het Brugse Ei\u2019. Deze nieuwe passage biedt een open en uitnodigende doorgang voor voetgangers en fietsers van het station naar de binnenstad, met een maar liefst negen meter breed open zicht op het achterliggende park. De afmetingen, de afgeronde keerwanden en het gebruik van traditionele Brugse bakstenen refereren aan karakteristieke historische poortgebouwen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tegelijk fungeert de passage als verbindend element voor flora en fauna, met een brede groene zone aan de noordkant, beplant met soorten die passen in deze vochtige en schaduwrijke omgeving. Ondergeschikt aan de waterlopen is de stratenstructuur, aangegeven met een subtieler lijnenspel. Markante plekken worden ge\u00efllustreerd aan de hand van verlichting op maat, en waterspuwers cre\u00ebren in de warme maanden verkoeling en aanleiding tot
